Description GIS Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry or comparable industry that has worked on at least one project in the $5-20 million dollar range and has experience, preferably as an Owners Construction Management Representative, to join our on-site Construction Management team managing projects with the natural history museum. Excellent communication skills are essential and must be a proven team player. • Administer and support ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps, and ArcGIS Pro. • Manage 700+ SI GIS user accounts, including user types, roles, and access. • Maintain licenses for ESRI products and 3rd party tools (XTools, ENVI/IDL, MAPublisher). • Support GIS data publishing, feature services, maps, and geospatial applications. • Assist with troubleshooting, user support, and workflow development. • Coordinate with OCIO to secure central funding for GIS operations. • Participate in vendor discussions and coordinate in-kind contributions. • Maintain a list of available ESRI training resources for staff. • Provide guidance to staff, volunteers, and interns on GIS projects; document project progress. Required Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field. + 3–5 years of experience with ESRI GIS technologies. + Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and enterprise geodatabases. + Experience with GIS data management, spatial analysis, and publishing services. + Strong communication and documentation skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
