Description
GIS Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry or comparable industry that has worked on at least one project in the $5-20 million dollar range and has experience, preferably as an Owners Construction Management Representative, to join our on-site Construction Management team managing projects with the natural history museum. Excellent communication skills are essential and must be a proven team player.
•\tAdminister and support ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps, and ArcGIS Pro.
•\tManage 700+ SI GIS user accounts, including user types, roles, and access.
•\tMaintain licenses for ESRI products and 3rd party tools (XTools, ENVI/IDL, MAPublisher).
•\tSupport GIS data publishing, feature services, maps, and geospatial applications.
•\tAssist with troubleshooting, user support, and workflow development.
•\tCoordinate with OCIO to secure central funding for GIS operations.
•\tParticipate in vendor discussions and coordinate in-kind contributions.
•\tMaintain a list of available ESRI training resources for staff.
•\tProvide guidance to staff, volunteers, and interns on GIS projects; document project progress.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field.3–5 years of experience with ESRI GIS technologies.Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and enterprise geodatabases.Experience with GIS data management, spatial analysis, and publishing services.Strong communication and documentation skills.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
