Position Purpose Well versed in financial modelling and analysis this position primary focus on financial performance of stores/new projects; develops, analyzes and interprets the results of the financial models used to assess the financial viability of projects. Uses key financial metrics to report to top management current trends impacting the business. Ability to work in transdisciplonary and international team in different financial projects. Strong knowledge of AutoZone systems, policies, processes and procedures. Proven skills with software packages used at AutoZone (MS Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Rocket Shuttle, etc.) Primary Accountabilities + Participate in developing Stores, Field & Operations BackOffice annual and quarterly operating plans/LEs/targets. + Verify compliance and proper alignment of the related areas to operating plan Strategies and tacics, including timely communication of deviations. + Oversee and control financial activities generated by Operations areas (Ej. Track of investment projects, New projects valuation, etc) . Provide financial advice on potential new operating process to ensure financial viability, adequate recording, tracking and visibility. As well as, generate financial and operational KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure performance and implement efficiencies in colaboration with the operational area. + Participate in Period End-Close Forecast by providing on time, supported and well-crafted calculations that sum up into overall controllership forecast. Being able to explain forecast with proven knowledge in Controllers Meetings + Perform regular and ad-hoc financial analysis of operating details, interpreting and reporting results to internal users of each area as well as evaluate and analyze projects proposed by functional areas. + Deliver on-time to weekly forecast of store payroll expense and provide insightful explanations of weekly payroll variance to upper-management in collaboration with Labor Management area. Know and understand main drivers and assumptions considered within the construction of each planning exercise (Plan, LE's & LRP). Education & Experience Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent. Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, Economics or Financial Systems Years of Experience: Five to seven years. Type of Experience: Financial analysis, General accounting Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Strong analytical midnset; excellent communication/presentation skills; advanced Excel ; very well organized and capable to work in an international/multicultural environment; ability to develop decision making skills. Other/Preferred: Strong work ethics, flexibility/adaptability, works well under pressure.
