As an Analyst in the Equity Research team, you will be part of a dynamic group focused on Equity Strategy. You will support the lead Equity Strategist by conducting in-depth analysis across various market areas, collaborating on cross-sector projects, and delivering high-quality research to our clients. Your role is crucial in helping us maintain our reputation for excellence in research.
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a passion for markets, particularly equities, with a focus on Equity Strategy. Support the lead Equity Strategist by conducting in-depth analysis across different market areas, including fund manager positioning and style investing. Contribute to thematic sector reports and collaborate on cross-sector projects with other teams. Efficiently handle day-to-day client requests and needs. Communicate your team's ideas persuasively to internal and external parties, tailoring communications to client needs. Suggest new approaches or ideas to enhance your franchise as a business. Understand and adhere to the firm's risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory rules.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
At least 1-2 years of experience with proven analytical skills, not limited to accounting and finance. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a finance or related field. Ability to independently arrange fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings. Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of the fundamentals/drivers (competitive landscape, risks) of an industry or country and thoroughly understand drivers of relevant markets to explain and anticipate market movements. Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information and articulate a compelling thesis or argument clearly and cogently.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Strong preference for candidates with a finance or related background. Demonstrates creativity in solving problems and always looks for new ways of doing things. Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs. Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management. A CFA/CPA, or progress toward a CFA/CPA, is a plus.
