Job Title: Equipment Operator
Job Description

This position requires an experienced loader operator who is comfortable performing general labor duties. The role involves operating various types of loaders and assisting in material handling and equipment management on construction sites.

ResponsibilitiesOperate loaders such as the John Deere 544K, Caterpillar 924K, and John Deere 624.Move and manage piles of material excavated by drilling units.Work closely with drilling operators to maintain safety standards.Switch loader attachments, using forks to move piling heads and drilling equipment.Perform general laborer duties including using hand tools, tape measures, and power tools.Read and interpret measurements accurately.Assist equipment operators with drilling and piling duties.Spot drilling operators, measure drill depth, clear dirt and debris, and change drill tooling.Communicate safety hazards effectively with equipment operators.Guide equipment onto sites and assist with concrete pouring tasks.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience operating loaders in civil, commercial, or industrial construction environments.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.Comfortable with D&A testing specific to the site.Possession of CSTS & WHMIS certifications (can be provided if not already held).Must own a vehicle.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in commercial piling/drilling.Experience operating Skid Steer, specifically Cat 262.Comfortable working out of town.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Candidates will work on various construction sites across Calgary, often being the first on site as drilling follows basic civil earthworks. Conditions may vary from muddy and wet to dry and dusty depending on the weather. Work hours are typically from 7am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Some sites require mandatory Saturday work, so availability on Saturdays is essential. Candidates will use an app to receive site locations and will work consistently with the same crew. A first-day orientation will include app usage training.
