We're looking for an Equipment Operations Manager with expert experience installing, commissioning and troubleshooting custom industrial equipment in a high tech, high speed manufacturing environment. : This position will lead and direct production maintenance operations to ensure maximum equipment reliability, availability, and performance across manufacturing facilities. Drive maintenance excellence through strategic planning, predictive/preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime
• Lead maintenance engineering teams in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing sustainable solutions
• Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including condition-based monitoring systems
• Drive root cause analysis programs and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures • Optimize spare parts inventory management and maintenance resource allocation
• Develop and track maintenance KPIs, including MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Create and manage maintenance budgets, including labor, parts, and contractor costs
• Partner with Production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules
• Lead maintenance improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) OR 8+ years in production maintenance management
• Strong background in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Proven track record of implementing successful maintenance improvement programs
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices and industry standards
• Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Knowledge of safety systems and lock-out/tag-out procedures
• Familiarity with maintenance analytics and reporting tools
• Experience with reliability analysis tools and techniques
• Experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors
• Strong project management and planning abilities
• Excellence in team leadership and development
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization
• Ability to access equipment in various positions (climbing, bending, reaching)
• Capability to respond to emergency maintenance situations
• May require off-shift availability for critical issues
• Must be able to wear required PPE

• Electro-dynamic shaker systems
• Vibration control systems
• Acoustic chamber operations
• Thermal vacuum chamber operations
• LN2 and GN2 systems(Liquid Nitrogen)
• Solar manufacturing equipment
• HALT/HASS chamber operations
• High/Ultra-high vacuum chamber operations
• Vacuum pumping systems (mechanical, diffusion, cryo pumps)
• Background in automation systems and PLC programming
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $292,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
