Description We're looking for an Equipment Operations Manager with expert experience installing, commissioning and troubleshooting custom industrial equipment in a high tech, high speed manufacturing environment. : This position will lead and direct production maintenance operations to ensure maximum equipment reliability, availability, and performance across manufacturing facilities. Drive maintenance excellence through strategic planning, predictive/preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key job responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime • Lead maintenance engineering teams in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing sustainable solutions • Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including condition-based monitoring systems • Drive root cause analysis programs and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures • Optimize spare parts inventory management and maintenance resource allocation • Develop and track maintenance KPIs, including MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) • Create and manage maintenance budgets, including labor, parts, and contractor costs • Partner with Production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules • Lead maintenance improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) OR 8+ years in production maintenance management • Strong background in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) • Proven track record of implementing successful maintenance improvement programs • Knowledge of maintenance best practices and industry standards • Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems • Knowledge of safety systems and lock-out/tag-out procedures • Familiarity with maintenance analytics and reporting tools • Experience with reliability analysis tools and techniques • Experience leading maintenance teams and managing contractors • Strong project management and planning abilities • Excellence in team leadership and development • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Effective communication with all levels of the organization • Ability to access equipment in various positions (climbing, bending, reaching) • Capability to respond to emergency maintenance situations • May require off-shift availability for critical issues • Must be able to wear required PPE Preferred Qualifications • Electro-dynamic shaker systems • Vibration control systems • Acoustic chamber operations • Thermal vacuum chamber operations • LN2 and GN2 systems(Liquid Nitrogen) • Solar manufacturing equipment • HALT/HASS chamber operations • High/Ultra-high vacuum chamber operations • Vacuum pumping systems (mechanical, diffusion, cryo pumps) • Background in automation systems and PLC programming • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $292,700/year in our highest geographic market.
