Equipment Mechanic
**Job Title: Equipment Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our team as an Equipment Mechanic where you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition a variety of different equipment for our customers. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse construction machinery such as boom lifts, aerial lifts, rail trucks, and more. **Responsibilities** + Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify issues. + Repair and recondition various construction equipment. + Disassemble units for diagnosis and repair. + Devise solutions for equipment failures through examination of specification sheets and manuals. + Clean and degrease parts using appropriate chemicals and devices. + Recondition or replace damaged parts and reassemble units using manuals and schematics. **Essential Skills** + High mechanical aptitude. + Troubleshooting and diagnosis skills. + Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Ability to read and understand assembly manuals, drawings, and schematics. + Strong customer service orientation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of basic hydraulic principles. + Knowledge of DC current and electronic fundamentals. + Demonstrated knowledge of failure analysis and the use of diagnostic equipment and instrumentation. + Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers. + Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 consecutive hours. + Dexterity and agility sufficient for climbing around equipment, repairing equipment, and driving vehicles with clutch transmission. + Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. **Why Work Here?** We offer a low-key, low-stress, and friendly work environment with bi-annual company bonuses and comprehensive benefits including vision, health, and dental coverage.
