Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $128,500.00 - $196,375.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Epic Cadence Senior Analyst is responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining the organization’s scheduling application to ensure accurate and efficient patient appointment workflows and access operations.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and implementing solutions within the Epic Cadence application and its related functionality such as Appointment Scheduling, Template Management, Resource Scheduling, Waitlist Management, and integration with Prelude and Welcome. The Cadence Analyst II collaborates with operational teams, end users, and project staff to align system functionality with business requirements and support system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Participation in an on-call rotation and occasional evening or weekend support may be required.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including IT system implementation and/or support; participation in at least one full system implementation lifecycle.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
4+ years of experience in IT system implementation and application support, with demonstrated participation in multiple full system implementation lifecycles and a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle workflows.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed while sitting in a comfortable position, with frequent opportunities to move about the department and traverse the hospital campus.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a comfortable indoor area.

HAZARDS OSHA
Category 3 Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials and Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment.

POSITION & UNIT ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design, build, test, and implement solutions within the Epic Cadence application and related functionality such as Appointment Scheduling, Template Management, Resource Scheduling, Waitlist Management, and integration with Prelude and Welcome.

Collaborate with operational teams, end users, and project staff to align system functionality with business requirements.

Support system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.

Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution to maintain system performance and reliability.

Remain current on Epic technologies and obtain and maintain Epic certifications as warranted.

Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional evening or weekend support as needed.



EDUCATION REQUIRED
BA/BS required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

EDUCATION PREFERRED
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Epic Cadence configuration and build, workflow analysis, troubleshooting, and system testing.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Ability to interpret complex scheduling requirements and translate them into system solutions.

Clear and effective verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Strong commitment to supporting end users and resolving issues promptly.

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and technologies.

SKILLS PREFERRED

Advanced proficiency in Epic Cadence build and optimization techniques.

Experience with Epic integration points and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).

Familiarity with Epic reporting tools (Clarity, Reporting Workbench) for scheduling analytics.

Knowledge of healthcare operations, patient access strategies, and scheduling best practices.

Ability to lead small projects or workstreams and mentor junior analysts.

Strong presentation skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
