Join Chubb and help drive the growth of our Environmental insurance portfolio in Iberia. As an Environmental Underwriter, you’ll work directly with brokers and clients, deliver underwriting excellence, and contribute your expertise to our dynamic team. This role is reporting to the Environmental Manager, Southern Europe.
Key responsibilities:
New Business Growth:
Develop and maintain broker/client relationshipsAssess and underwrite new business in line with Chubb guidelinesCollaborate with Sales & Distribution to maximize opportunities, especially in Barcelona and northern IberiaSupport cross-selling with other business linesManage pipeline (SQB)Renewals:
Manage your renewal portfolio, ensuring timely issuance and strong retentionIdentify opportunities to transition business to digital platformsBroker Engagement & Market Development:
Build strong broker relationships through meetings and trainingPromote Chubb’s Environmental productsRepresent Chubb professionally to brokers, clients, and colleaguesOperational Excellence & Compliance:
Ensure all underwriting meets Chubb’s standards and regulatory requirementsCompany Representation:
Act as a positive ambassador for Chubb, upholding our values in every interactionCross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with Claims, Operations, Finance, and other teams to support business success4–5 years’ experience in the insurance sector, ideally in Environmental or Specialty linesProven track record in the Iberian insurance marketExperience in a multinational environmentStrong relationship management skills with brokers and clientsConfident communicator, able to deliver presentations and demonstrate commercial acumenResults-driven, proactive, and able to work independentlyStrategic mindset for identifying opportunities and optimizing portfoliosClient-focused and business-orientedComfortable in a dynamic, multicultural environmentPositive, “can-do” attitude and strong team playerWhat we offer in return:
