We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead and coordinate all environmental compliance activities across multiple facilities in the Midwest. This role involves supervising a team of environmental staff, implementing continuous environmental improvements, and promoting sustainability across manufacturing locations.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all environmental compliance activities.Supervise environmental staff across four facilities in the Midwest.Implement continual improvements as the Corporate ISO EMS Management Representative in areas including air emissions, solid waste, water use, and energy use reductions.Promote sustainability improvements across the organization’s manufacturing locations and activities.Conduct and support all air and water permitting activities with state agencies for the construction or modification of plant emission sources.Manage the construction, operation, closure, and long-term care of three landfill facilities.Facilitate the beneficial reuse of industrial by-products in lieu of landfill disposal.Perform duties required by Radioactive Material Licenses for industrial gages as the Corporate Radiation Safety Officer.Communicate environmental activities with public, state, and federal agencies.Oversee a multi-million-dollar budget for all environmental activities.Essential SkillsEnvironmental complianceEnvironmental engineeringEnvironmental scienceEnvironmental health & safetyISO standardsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field10+ years' experience in environmental regulatory complianceExperience in administering Environmental Management Systems (ISO preferred)Work EnvironmentThe company places a significant emphasis on environmental sustainability issues. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
