The Asbestos/Demolition Supervisor will oversee and manage staff and subcontractors on diverse environmental construction projects, including demolition, restoration, earthwork, and stormwater management. This role requires hands-on site work to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct field crews and subcontractors.Coordinate onsite work and ensure project-specific work plans are implemented.Complete projects safely and efficiently, managing labor and equipment time to achieve productivity and budget goals.Communicate professionally with clients.Oversee the delivery and off-loading of supplies and materials.Complete daily field reports.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year experience as an Asbestos, Demolition, or Construction Supervisor.Minimum of 2 years of related field experience in construction and management.Ability to read blueprints and drawings.OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER 40 certifications required, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.40-hour Asbestos Supervisor certification required.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to manage budgets and schedules preferred.Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment preferred.Torch cutting experience preferred.High School Diploma, GED, or vocational schooling preferred.Experience in site assessment, PFAS, lead, report writing, industrial hygiene, asbestos inspection, and sample collection.Work EnvironmentThis position is onsite in Norfolk, VA, supporting Federal Shipyard work. The role requires coordinating actions with other workers on busy construction sites and completing projects on time. Regular and prompt attendance is essential, as well as the ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally. The work involves sitting for prolonged periods with occasional standing and walking. The position offers 2 weeks of PTO, up to 8 federal holidays or 56 hours of sick time, and growth opportunities from Site Superintendent to Project Manager or Operations Manager.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
