Environmental Specialist

Are you passionate about hands‑on environmental work and making a real impact? We’re looking for an Environmental Specialist who thrives in the field, enjoys teamwork, and is ready to take on meaningful responsibility managing hazardous materials and supporting environmental compliance programs.

In this role, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals to complete lab pack projects, conduct chemical inventories, and perform facility and laboratory audits. You’ll play a key part in ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency for our clients—while gaining valuable experience across a variety of environmental services. This position also offers an opportunity to build leadership skills through daily collaboration and guidance of team members.

What You’ll DoWork as part of a field team to execute lab pack services, including chemical segregation, packing, and disposal.Perform detailed chemical inventories at client sites.Conduct inspections and audits for laboratories and facilities to support compliance and safety.Partner with management to help develop key accounts and improve standard operating procedures.Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills while supporting and guiding team members in the field.What You BringEssential SkillsStrong commitment to Health & SafetyEnvironmental knowledge and field experienceExcellent customer service and client‑facing communicationOSHA 24 certification (or willingness to obtain)Hands-on experience with hazardous material handlingField surveying or field service backgroundFoundational knowledge of environmental sciencePreferred backgroundBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (or related fields such as Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geology, Marine Science, etc.)Prior hands-on or customer‑facing experience (field, service, or operations roles preferred over research-only experience)Comfortable conducting physical tasks such as packing, moving, and handling chemical materialsPersonable, professional, and able to build strong day‑to‑day relationships with clientsJob Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Astoria, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
