Job Title: Environmental Project Manager
Job Description
The Environmental Project Manager will oversee environmental monitoring and remediation projects, ensuring the successful implementation of project work plans. This includes scheduling, reporting, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies. The role involves planning and designing site and remedial investigation work plans, preparing regulatory reports, and maintaining proactive communication with clients and stakeholders. The position also requires assisting with business development and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise activities for environmental monitoring and remediation projects.Manage project work plans including scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.Plan and design site and remedial investigation work plans including soil and groundwater sampling.Prepare regulatory reports such as Preliminary Assessment, Site Investigation, and Remedial Investigation.Interact and communicate proactively with clients, stakeholders, and company staff.Manage project aspects including client relations, proposal preparation, and budgeting.Assist with business development and mentor junior environmental staff.Work outdoors in variable weather conditions with proper Personal Protective Equipment.Essential Skills
Working knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations and NJDEP technical guidance documents.Experience in project management, budgeting, and financial management.Excellent communication and technical writing skills.Ability to independently prepare reports focused on NJDEP compliance.Strong planning and organizational skills with problem-solving abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Science, Geology, or related technical degree.Experience developing and managing engineering, permitting, and design projects for environmentally impacted sites.Experience in preparing Soil Erosion Sediment Control Plans and remedial engineering.40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher courses.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Howell, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
