Environmental Project Manager
Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will supervise activities for environmental monitoring and remediation projects. You will effectively manage the implementation of project work plans, including scheduling, reporting, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and client or regulatory agency interactions. You will be responsible for planning and designing site and remedial investigation workplans, which include soil and groundwater sampling, indoor air and soil gas sampling, monitoring well installations, well gauging, remedial excavations, and general fieldwork oversight in accordance with NJDEP regulations and technical guidance.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare regulatory reports such as Preliminary Assessment (PA), Site Investigation (SI), Remedial Investigation (RI), Remedial Action Workplan (RAW), and Remedial Action Reports (RAR).Engage proactively with clients, stakeholders, and company staff to facilitate workflow and deliver high-quality outputs.Manage projects including client relations, proposal preparation, budgeting, investigation, conceptual planning, subcontractor coordination, and deliverable preparation.Assist with business development and the mentoring/training of junior environmental staff.Work outdoors in variable weather conditions while adhering to corporate health and safety protocols using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Essential SkillsWorking knowledge and understanding of New Jersey environmental regulations and NJDEP technical guidance documents.Experience in project management, budgeting, and financial management.Strong client-facing skills and personality.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Science, Geology, or related technical field from an accredited university.Excellent communication and technical writing skills for independent report preparation focusing on NJDEP compliance and client needs.Strong planning and organizational skills, along with problem-solving abilities.Ability to collaborate with diverse project teams and mentor junior staff.Experience in developing and managing engineering, permitting, and design projects for environmentally impacted sites and site development projects.Experience preparing Soil Erosion Sediment Control Plans and remedial engineering.Capability to work independently and oversee contractors in the field.40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current with 8-hour refresher courses.Work Environment

This role is based in our Wall, NJ office, within a team of 24 in the environmental division. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
