About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to support regulatory compliance, environmental oversight, and permitting activities for flood hazard, land use, and infrastructure‑related projects. This role is responsible for reviewing soil erosion and sediment control plans, conducting field inspections, issuing required certificates, and ensuring all work aligns with applicable environmental regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assess and monitor flood hazard areas to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
+ Review and approve soil erosion and sediment control plans
+ Issue certificates and documentation required by governing authorities
+ Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and environmental standards
+ Prepare and maintain accurate reports, records, and compliance documentation
+ Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to resolve compliance issues
+ Stay current on environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ 3–7 years of environmental experience, including Phase I/II assessments, report writing, and permitting for bridge or infrastructure projects
+ environmental science, environmental engineering, and regulatory compliance
+ Experience with NJDEP land use permitting, including freshwater wetlands
+ Understanding of flood hazard regulations and mitigation requirements
+ Ability to obtain soil erosion and sediment control certificates
+ Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental documentation
+ HAZWOPER certification
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field
+ Proven project management capabilities and strong communication skills
+ NICET Certification (preferred)

This is a Permanent position based out of Secaucus, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
