Environmental Project Manager
Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and manage environmental projects from inception through completion. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, environmental science, and engineering disciplines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant standards. Responsibilities + Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and budgets. + Prepare statements of work and work breakdown structures. + Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. + Ensure compliance with organizational project management standards. + Manage project budgets and financial performance. + Oversee client billing and ensure timely payments. + Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices. + Monitor and communicate financial risks. + Monitor project progress and performance. + Manage scope changes using established change management processes. + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment. + Ensure safety requirements and audit actions are addressed. + Provide technical guidance to project teams and contractors. + Develop and manage project staffing plans. + Assign tasks, set expectations, and communicate deadlines. + Provide coaching, feedback, and performance input for team members. + Escalate performance or resource issues when necessary. + Build and maintain strong client relationships. + Ensure client satisfaction through quality project delivery. + Identify opportunities for additional work or change orders. + Support business development teams with scoping and costing efforts. + Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. Essential Skills + Proven experience in project management, particularly in environmental projects. + Strong knowledge of environmental science and engineering. + Experience in environmental remediation. + A minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience. + Professional certification such as PMP, CCM, or DBIA required within 12 months of hire. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. The work setting will require adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $150000.00/yr. direct placement full time benefits Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Nashville,TN.
