Job Title: Environmental Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager with over seven years of experience to support a growing environmental site investigation, due diligence, remediation, and compliance practice in Metro Detroit. This role is ideal for an environmental consulting professional motivated to foster technical excellence and develop strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
Manage project team, delegate to office and field staff, and execute daily project activities.Oversee project contractual and financial issues, including terms of agreement, changes in scope, and billing processes.Mentor existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers.Monitor team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets.Conduct site compliance inspections.Prepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with Principal guidance.Conduct and review technical analyses and calculations.Participate in meetings and agency consultations.Facilitate internal and client communications.Provide business development support.Assist on projects and tasks outside of primary responsibilities as needed.Essential Skills
Experience in remediation, site assessment, project management, and environmental science.Proficiency in Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), environmental site investigations, and environmental compliance.Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols.Knowledge of contaminants' fate and transport in the subsurface and experience in conceptual site model development.Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge.Strong oral and written communication skills.Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.Strong self-starter abilities with minimal supervision required.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus).Experience in consulting engineering firms and knowledge of applicable Federal and Michigan laws and regulations (experience in adjacent states is a plus).Experience in database and GIS is a plus.Experience with statistical review of data.PE/PG/LSRP or other professional registration strongly preferred.Ability to maintain strong and consistent outreach to clients.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of LIVONIA, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
