The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing EHS compliance and risk management processes. This position involves developing, communicating, and training to drive EHS performance improvements within the organization. The specialist will collaborate with leadership to integrate EHS into daily operations and support the development and execution of compliance programs.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs in line with global policies.Train and communicate to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to achieve compliance.Conduct investigations to prevent occupational diseases and industrial health hazards.Promote EHS awareness through effective employee communication.Serve as a key point of contact for safety and environmental issues.Manage regulated waste including consolidation and inspections.Execute compliance tasks such as storm water sampling, waste inspections, and chemical inventory management.Conduct EHS audits and develop action plans to resolve findings.Perform risk assessments for new processes and equipment.Maintain accurate metrics for reporting to management and corporate systems.Support management efforts to ensure compliance with corporate programs and laws.Recommend risk mitigation measures, including ergonomics.Establish and manage the safety committee.Drive continual improvement efforts to reduce safety and environmental risks.Support site meetings, safety committees, and floor inspections.Essential SkillsExperience in EHS support, especially in warehousing.Knowledge of EHS regulations and OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.Manufacturing plant experience.Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Maintaining confidentiality in security and personnel matters.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.1+ years of experience in EHS support.Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.Work EnvironmentThe position is located at the Everett site and requires availability for flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The Back Half shift (Wednesday to Saturday) operates on a 4/10 schedule during 2nd shift hours from 5 pm to 3:30 am.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
