Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating plans and improvements, and overseeing the operational control of an Aerospace site with a strong emphasis on identifying hazards and specialized HSE aspects.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate plans, improvements, and operational control of the site with a focus on hazards and specialized HSE aspects.Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and other interested parties’ requirements.Provide support and advice to operational areas.Monitor compliance with the HSE Policy on site.Manage the HSE Management System.Keep the HSE legal requirements matrix updated for correct compliance and monitoring.Carry out corresponding procedures with government agencies regarding HSE.Guarantee adequate compliance and development of operational control, mainly on topics such as sustainability, chemical substances, ergonomics, change management, hazardous work, and emergency management.Essential SkillsProficiency in health and safety regulations.Experience with OSHA 30 and safety training.Knowledge in EHS, environmental health, and OSHA safety.Ability to manage safety programs, water quality, and sustainable design.Expertise in HSE Management and HSE Legal framework.Understanding of chemical substances, explosive atmospheres, asbestos, and hazardous work.Skills in industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, chemical safety, and hazardous waste management.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with HSE Legal Framework applicable to the site.Knowledge of international legal references and standards.Experience with HSE change management.Proficiency in event investigation methods such as 5W's+H, 8D's, and root cause analysis.Technical knowledge of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment, and operational machinery.Experience with Integrated Management Systems like ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001.Work Environment
The position operates within an ITAR controlled environment with a shift schedule from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
