**Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Lead** **Job Description** As the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our EHS strategy, ensuring our processes meet the highest standards for safety, compliance, and sustainability. With expertise in handling corrosive acids, gases, and high-risk operations, you will lead initiatives to protect our workforce, the environment, and the surrounding community. **Responsibilities** + Lead initiatives to embed a proactive safety culture, influencing leadership and employees at all levels to prioritize EHS excellence. + Design and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures tailored to operations involving corrosive acids, gases, and hazardous materials. + Establish and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, local regulations, and industry standards. + Develop and execute training programs to promote safe handling of hazardous chemicals and emergency response protocols. + Conduct risk assessments for chemical processes and equipment, focusing on high-risk operations involving corrosive materials. + Develop and oversee mitigation strategies for identified risks, ensuring workplace safety and environmental protection. + Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or lab setting. + Proactive approach to EH&S, including vendor management. + Expertise in safety, EHS, procedure analysis, and root cause analysis. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in EHS within a lab environment. **Why Work Here?** Join a forward-thinking company dedicated to reducing CO2 impact on the earth by innovating carbon-friendly cement. Enjoy flexible start times between 7 am and 9 am, with an onsite presence required for 8 hours per day. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
