Environmental Health And Safety Manager
DescriptionLead compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permits (e.g., Title V, CEMS, LDAR, RCRA, NPDES, SPCC, Boiler MACT, DOT).Partner with site operations and support teams to maintain permit compliance.Train, coach, and advise operations and leadership on environmental requirements.Supervise and develop a team of two hourly Environmental Technicians and two salaried Environmental professionals.Establish goals aligned with site SHE objectives and track environmental performance metrics.Oversee environmental monitoring, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting (annual, semi-annual, quarterly).Review and approve consultant and internal reports; manage external vendors for quality and value.Serve as the primary liaison with IEPA/EPA and support regulatory inspections.Support production units, MOC reviews, incident investigations, and daily operations.Identify cost-effective, sustainable environmental solutions and update compliance procedures as needed.Participate in an on-call rotation (one week per month, including holidays).Promote site safety culture, including Safety Principles and Life-Saving Rules.Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.8+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.Self-directed, collaborative, and effective in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minooka, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
