Environmental Health And Safety Manager
Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety ManagerJob Description The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will oversee safety and compliance for all abatement, demolition, and site restoration activities. This role requires ensuring adherence to safety regulations and managing the environmental health and safety aspects of projects. Responsibilities + Lead daily safety meetings and conduct routine safety and health inspections. + Report safety findings weekly to the office. + Conduct refresher training as needed, including tools, lifts, and confined spaces. + Implement and manage safety and occupational health programs. + Perform safety surveillance, inspections, and enforce safety measures. + Coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties. Essential Skills + Minimum of 10 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising or managing general construction. + Experience with abatement and environmental remediation. + Experience managing federal government contracts is preferred. + Valid driver's license and clean driving record. + Ability to pass a federal government background screen. Additional Skills & Qualifications + OSHA 30 certification. + Hazwoper certification. + Experience in site assessment and construction safety. + Knowledge of environmental compliance and safety management. Work Environment This position is based onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Edgewood, Maryland, United States. The role requires the ability to complete projects on time, regular and prompt attendance, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. The work environment involves prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing and walking. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewood, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
