Job Title: Environmental Field Technician (with CDL)

Location: Lauderdale Lakes, FL

Job Type: Full time/Contract to hire

Work Schedule: Average 55 hours/week (range: 40–80 hours/week)

Work Environment: Fully on-site; outdoor work in hot temperatures, confined spaces, and around hazardous chemicals

Must Haves: CDL 2+years min., Tanker Endorsement, Hazmat Endorsement

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Environmental Field Technician to join our emergency response team. This role involves operating specialized equipment and performing environmental cleanup tasks in response to hazardous material spills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in physically demanding and high-risk environments and possess strong mechanical and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:Respond to environmental emergencies within a 24-hour windowOperate mechanical equipment including Vac Trucks, Super Duster, forklifts, pallet jacks, lift gates, trucks, and trailersConduct spill clean-up, decontamination, and limited chemical testingPrepare and maintain equipment and inventoryComplete accurate field logs, reports, and Field DailiesUnderstand and apply spill response principles and hazardous material handling proceduresCommunicate effectively with Field Supervisors, clients, and team membersPerform manual labor tasks such as sweeping, shoveling, pushing, and pullingWork in confined spaces such as petroleum and wastewater treatment tanksSafely work at elevated heights and in noisy, industrial conditionsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:High school graduate or GED Equivalent2 years of experience performing labor intensive work in an environmental, construction, or heavy industrial environment is preferredAbility to understand and follow both written and verbal instructionsAbility to learn and adhere to proper safety proceduresAbility to work in all weather and environmental conditions (sun, rain, cold, swamp, ditches, dirt)Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of bulky equipmentAbility to bend, stoop, sit, and standDrum procession and samplingTank cleaningSpill Crew MemberGeneral ConstructionEquipment decontaminationVehicle and equipment maintenanceUse of all levels of PPEExperience with Excavator, Skid-steer, Bulldozer, Forklift and other heavy equipment operation preferredWhy Work Here?Career advancement opportunities to become equipment operators, drivers, and supervisors.Family-owned and operated company with 33 years in business, offering a fun environment with recognition for performance and birthdays.Plenty of training opportunities to advance your career.Benefits once hired directly include health, dental, and vision insurance, company truck provided for most positions, 401k with company match up to 5%, vacation time (1week after 90 days, 2 weeks after a year, 3 weeks after 2 years, and 4 weeks after 10 years), and company-paid holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
