Job Title: Environmental EngineerJob Description

As an Environmental Engineer, you will apply your extensive and varied knowledge of engineering and scientific principles to solid waste assignment areas and related fields. You will be responsible for preparing engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications. This role involves independent work on engineering or scientific problems, planning, and coordinating tasks.

ResponsibilitiesConduct fieldwork, including surveys, data gathering, CQA liner installations, and inspections in varied terrain and weather conditions.Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, and preparing permit applications.Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation, client meetings, and attending industry-related conferences and trade shows.Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in project management, construction, construction management, design, and project engineering.Experience in landfill engineering and civil engineering.A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the solid waste industry, including landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting.Competency in using MS Office and other computer software commonly used in environmental consulting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software is advantageous.A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Work Environment

The work environment requires both fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions, and office-based tasks. You will be involved in business development activities and will receive technical guidance on complex problems. The role includes attending industry-related conferences and trade shows. The use of CAD software and other computer applications is integral to the position.

This is a Permanent position based out of Murfreesboro, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
