Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Environmental Engineer to assist in overseeing projects in our Milton, DE and Newark, DE offices. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Phase I and Phase II remediation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on recession-proof government EPA-funded projects across the state of Delaware.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct site evaluations under Delaware HSCA, Brownfields programs, and/or EPA Region III from pre-remedial assessments.Conduct strategic project planning using a data quality objectives approach and develop focused planning documents.Guide implementation and oversight of field work, including media sampling, installation of tooling methods, and coordination of laboratory method selection.Provide data evaluations and statistics to support site-specific risk assessments.Develop and oversee implementation of geologic and hydro-logic resource evaluations.Perform geologic and hydro logic review.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or geology.HAZWOPER trained.Experience in Phase I and Phase II remediation.Proficiency in environmental remediation, site assessment, and environmental compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field such as geology.Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG).Knowledge in environmental science, hydrogeology, brownfield, and Superfund projects.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.
