Environmental Engineer
Job Title: Environmental Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to review Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) data and prepare state and/or federal reports for submittal. This role involves developing and/or updating monitoring plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, and compliance tracking tools. You will audit client facilities’ conformance to applicable requirements, including their CEMS data acquisition and handling system (DAHS). Additionally, you will support air/CEMS training conducted at our facility and communicate effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction. Responsibilities + Review and analyze Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) data. + Prepare state and/or federal compliance reports for submittal. + Develop and update monitoring and quality assurance/quality control plans. + Audit client facilities for compliance with applicable environmental regulations. + Support and conduct air/CEMS training sessions. + Maintain effective communication with clients and ensure their satisfaction. Essential Skills + Data analysis + Knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) + Understanding of air quality and air emissions + Technical writing and data management + Familiarity with air compliance and quality control processes + Experience with exhaust systems and environmental engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Meteorology, Chemistry, or Atmospheric Sciences with a minimum 3.5 GPA + 0-1 year of experience + Experience with exhaust emissions and air quality regulations is a plus + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Experience managing data in spreadsheets + Proficiency with email and word processing software Work Environment This role is based in our Seattle office, requiring a 40-hour workweek with no overtime. The position involves extensive training and collaboration with a small team of 3-4 individuals. The work involves complex federal regulations and continuous monitoring, providing opportunities for growth into a project management position. You will work closely with environmental managers from power/steam plants or industrial facilities. The office environment supports continuous learning and professional development.
