We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Pleasantville, NJ. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in business development and sales within the environmental sector, with a strong understanding of the differences between consulting and contracting firms. This role offers a hybrid work opportunity, involving strategic business development activities, cold calling from home, and attending industry events to build networks and business opportunities.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement business development strategies within the environmental sector.
+ Engage in cold calling and networking to expand business opportunities.
+ Attend industry events to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with consulting and contracting firms to enhance service offerings.
+ Manage accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities within PA, NJ, NY, and DE.
Essential Skills
+ 10+ years of experience in business development/sales.
+ Proven experience working with environmental consulting firms.
+ Strong understanding of the environmental sector.
+ Experience working with companies in PA, NJ, NY, and DE.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possession of a book of business.
+ Established contacts within the industry.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in the office in Bordentown, NJ or Pleasantville, NJ, with hybrid work flexibility. The role requires occasional travel within NJ, PA, and NY to attend events and conduct meetings. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasantville, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
