**Job Title: Welder** Job Description Join our team as a Welder, where you will perform MIG/Flux Core/STICK welding on heavy gauge materials, specifically 1-inch and up. Set up and operate welding machines, complete simple fabrications, and utilize hand tools and measuring devices. Ensure welds are completed within specific time frames, perform simple layouts, and fix imperfections using torches, air arcs, and grinding tools. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols, maintain the work area, and lift up to 60 lbs. Steel-toed boots are mandatory. Essential Skills + MIG welding experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. + Proficiency in welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. Located in the historic Whiting building, the facility can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Steel-toed boots and welding gear are required for safety. We have a secure pipeline of work for the next five years, making this a stable and promising opportunity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harvey, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
