Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, responsible for welding products made of steel and/or galvanized metal using blueprints and fixtures. This role involves setting up and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate welders to hand weld products safely, efficiently, and ergonomically.Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality.Set up own machine for materials welded, producing minimal smoke or splatter.Produce high-quality welds with good workmanship and minimal rejects.Complete work according to print requirements.Read and understand prints and symbols.Manufacture products to specifications without a fixture using tools like weld table, tape measure, and protractor.Communicate production issues professionally and seek clarification and resolution.Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMIG welding experience.Proficiency in welding galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.Competence in reviewing and interpreting symbols, part numbers, tolerance, and weld placements on blueprints.Ability to work independently to complete work to print requirements.Basic math skills to determine dimensions.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience preferred.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $24.45/hr.
