Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our Electrical Department. This role involves equipment testing, PLC programming, HMI design, and the reviewing and development of electrical documentation. The technician will be responsible for onsite commissioning, managing customer relations both pre and post project installations, troubleshooting system operations, and providing technical support to customers.
Responsibilities
Conduct equipment testing to ensure proper functionality.Program and troubleshoot PLC systems.Design and implement Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).Review and develop electrical documentation.Perform onsite commissioning of systems.Manage customer relations before and after project installations.Troubleshoot system operations effectively.Provide technical support to customers.Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.Experience with Allen-Bradley systems.Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.Field service experience.Knowledge of HMI design.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience with PLC programming or a 4-year relevant degree preferred.Willingness to travel within the US to client sites approximately 25-50% of the time.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience in customer relations.Preferred experience with industrial control system communication protocols.Work Environment
The position requires travel to customer sites during weekdays approximately 25-50% of the time, with the remainder of time spent at the main office in Gallatin, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
