**Job Title: Entry Level Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** This position is for a Maintenance Technician within a food processing company where you will work with high-speed packaging equipment, sizing equipment, and various machinery for processing chicken, whether frozen, chilled, or partially fried. You will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing tasks, working mechanically and electrically with equipment up to 480v. The work involves a mechanical to electrical split of 70-30%. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and ensuring the facility runs smoothly for production. + Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards. + Operate and troubleshoot high-speed packaging equipment, solving any arising issues. + Safely work with electrical systems up to 480v and address any electrical issues. + Follow and implement the preventative maintenance plan as directed by the manager. **Essential Skills** + Completion of Trade School with a focus on industrial electric; Coyne College preferred. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems. + Experience with 480v, 3 Phase systems, and preventative maintenance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. + Possession of a basic set of tools is advantageous for entry-level candidates. **Why Work Here?** This is a fantastic opportunity for entry-level maintenance candidates as the company is committed to investing in and training employees on industrial maintenance repairs and best practices. The maintenance team consists of 1 Manager, 3 Supervisors, 1 Assistant Supervisor, and 17 Technicians. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FRANKLIN PARK, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
