**Job Title: Entry Level Maintenance Technician** **Job Description**
This position is for a Maintenance Technician within a food processing company where you will work with high-speed packaging equipment, sizing equipment, and various machinery for processing chicken, whether frozen, chilled, or partially fried. You will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing tasks, working mechanically and electrically with equipment up to 480v. The work involves a mechanical to electrical split of 70-30%.
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and ensuring the facility runs smoothly for production.
+ Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
+ Operate and troubleshoot high-speed packaging equipment, solving any arising issues.
+ Safely work with electrical systems up to 480v and address any electrical issues.
+ Follow and implement the preventative maintenance plan as directed by the manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Completion of Trade School with a focus on industrial electric; Coyne College preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems.
+ Experience with 480v, 3 Phase systems, and preventative maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.
+ Possession of a basic set of tools is advantageous for entry-level candidates.

**Work Environment**
The facility is a large operation with over 400 employees working across two different shifts. It features multiple loading docks and processes chicken through various stages including sizing, hopping, splitting, cutting, frying, and freezing. The maintenance team consists of 1 Manager, 3 Supervisors, 1 Assistant Supervisor, and 17 Technicians.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FRANKLIN PARK, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
