Job Description
This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced, GMP-regulated food manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will perform both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, support preventive maintenance programs, assist with production line changeovers and startups, and ensure all work is properly documented and validated with engineering. This position also involves ordering parts, coordinating with vendors, and supporting outsourced service teams.
ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of production equipment.Support preventive maintenance programs.Assist with production line changeovers and startups.Ensure all maintenance work is documented and validated with engineering.Order necessary parts and coordinate with vendors.Support outsourced service teams.Essential SkillsExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.Knowledge of 3-phase motors and basic PLC troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Experience in industrial troubleshooting and building maintenance.Familiarity with control panels and parts inventory management.Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience, including conveyor systems, gearboxes, bearings, and line changeovers.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ year of experience in food manufacturing or GMP environments.1+ year of TIG welding experience.EPA certification or HVAC experience.Spanish language skills are a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a GMP-regulated facility with 3-4 production lines, including herring, smoked salmon, fresh salmon, and ready-to-eat food lines. The successful candidate will join a two-person maintenance team, becoming the third member. While there is a fishy smell, masks can be worn due to GMP regulations. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
