Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to perform visual color evaluations and provide direction to our lab and production facility. The role involves supporting the Textile QC Lab by conducting measurements on a benchtop spectrophotometer, conditioning colors, and offering directional color feedback to the internal Textile team. The technician will collect and archive color data using Color iQC software and maintain both a digital color history and physical archives. Additionally, participation in meetings and Kaizens for problem-solving and process improvements is expected.

Responsibilities

Perform visual color evaluations and guide lab and production facility.Support Textile QC Lab with measurements on a benchtop spectrophotometer.Condition colors and provide directional feedback to the internal Textile team.Collect and archive color data using Color iQC software.Maintain a comprehensive digital color history and physical archives.Attend meetings and participate in Kaizens for problem-solving and process improvements.Conduct various color testing, including color consistency and fabric conditioning trials.Collaborate to ensure delivery and compliance with the quality strategy.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in QC work in the cosmetic industry or similar color-related industriesExperience in art, fashion, design, dyeing, proofing, or other color-based fields

Work Environment

This position operates in a laboratory setting with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
