Job Title: Entry Level Distribution Engineer
Job Description
We are currently seeking candidates with an Engineering degree to join our team as Distribution Engineers. These positions will focus on Distribution projects. Successful candidates will receive training from two advanced level Distribution Engineers. The role primarily involves design development and coordination (90% of the time), with occasional fieldwork required after several months on the job (10%).
Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.Prepare forestry trimming requests.Facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition.Develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate costs.Engage in design development and coordination.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.Knowledge of Power Distribution.Proficiency in AutoCAD.ABET-accredited 4-year Engineering Degree.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CAD Design tools such as Revit, Solidworks, MicroStation, Inventor, MATLAB.Valid Driver's License.Passion and interest in Power Utilities and Distribution.0+ years of experience.Teamwork and leadership skills.Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Orlando, Florida. The office environment consists of a mix of Designers, Engineers, and Design Technicians supporting distribution projects. It promotes teamwork and involves working in groups on various projects. The work setting includes collaboration with industry-leading construction partners to deliver meaningful energy delivery solutions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
