Job Title: Entry Level Construction Materials Technician

Job Description

We are seeking entry-level Construction Materials Testing Technicians for various commercial construction projects around the Wichita area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enter the construction industry, with training provided to develop your skills.

Responsibilities

Perform sampling and testing of soils, aggregate, Portland Cement Concrete, and Hot Mix Asphalt.Transport equipment, specimens, or other job-related items to field and laboratory staff, and assist in equipment set-up.Maintain cleanliness and ensure good working order of assigned equipment and vehicles.Support other technicians and professional staff with routine tasks.Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities efficiently through progressive training.

Essential Skills

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and web-based portals.Hardworking, safety-minded, collaborative team player.Effort, coachability, and reliability are highly valued.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional references supporting character qualities are a must.American Concrete Institute certification.Nuclear gauge handling experience.ACI certified and certificate holder.Concrete testing and inspection expertise.

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors at commercial construction sites, with tasks involving physical labor and exposure to various weather conditions. Paid training will be provided for certifications in soil density, American Concrete Institute I, and DOT certifications. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a willingness to work outdoors.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
