Opportunity:


CACI is seeking an entry level Ship Design/Draftsman to work with a dynamic team of ship Marine/ Mechanical/Electrical/Structural engineers and Naval Architects. Under supervision, you will develop, revise, and provide quality assurance on 2D, and 3D drawings and models to support various maritime engineering projects as part of an engineering team primarily in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Military Sealift Command (MSC).

Responsibilities:

Use, maintain, and improve AutoCAD drawing drafting practices and tools to develop and revise shipboard system drawings with high efficiency and accuracy.Develop and use advanced features to decrease drawing development time and reduce errors.Attend ship surveys for modification or upgrades to in-service vessel systems and document arrangement details of existing Hull, Mechanical and Electrical components for the development of drawings.Provide input to design reports to accompany in-service modifications to ship systems.Ability to work alone with proper direction and in a team environment with other Engineering Disciplines


Qualifications:
Required:

High School DiplomaWillingness to continue formal educationMust be a US Citizen Ability to Obtain a minimum of a Secret ClearanceCollege level experience working in AutoCAD 2D and familiar with Navisworks Modeling.Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word Good verbal (English) communication skills Willingness to travel :10% of the time


Desired:

BSME, BSCE, BSAE or BSNA/MEFormal training developing drawings in AutocadActive ClearanceAbility to work as part of a team with minimal supervision with other Engineering Disciplines.Ability to edit and create engineering drawings, in autocad from engineer’s notes, sketches and directions

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$55,600 - $111,100
