**Job Title: Assembly Operator**
**Job Description**
As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for completing job cards, routers, and necessary documentation to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. You will operate various equipment such as lathes, welders, presses, grinders, cable cutters, swagers, and packaging equipment to produce cable assemblies. Your role will include maintaining material traceability, conducting inspections, proof-loading parts, gathering samples for testing, and ensuring that processed materials are packaged and labeled correctly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Complete job cards, routers, and job documentation as required.
+ Maintain material traceability by completing records of materials usage.
+ Monitor and perform visual and tactile inspections of assembled parts.
+ Perform proof-loading of assembled parts.
+ Gather samples for start-up and in-process testing and inspection.
+ Package and label processed materials according to job card instructions.
+ Report part or process quality issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with assembly line operations and visual inspection.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools for cable assembly.
+ Ability to perform visual inspection of completed products.
+ Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
+ Strong assembly, production, and packaging skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to self-motivate and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.
+ Excellent attention to detail and good documentation practices.
+ Proven understanding of part workmanship.
+ Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
+ Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing defects.
+ Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

**Work Environment**
The position offers five openings for the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5:30 pm, with the option for Saturday overtime depending on production needs, from 8 am to 3 pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
