CBRE is seeking a dynamic Sector Vice President for our $700M Technology portfolio, based in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. Position Summary: The Sector Vice President for the Technology Sector plays a critical leadership role in CBRE’s Enterprise business, serving as the executive sponsor for some of our most strategic client relationships. This is a global role responsible for a portfolio generating over $700M in annual gross revenue & over 1500 employees, with direct accountability for driving client outcomes, growing our business, empowering top talent, and delivering financial excellence. This position reports directly to the President of the Technology Sector and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, supporting a portfolio of global accounts across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Key Responsibilities **Executive Client Relationships & Growth** + Serve as the executive escalation point for a portfolio of key technology client accounts and evaluate key business challenges and develop new or innovative solutions. + Support the business development of new strategic relationships across the sector. + Cultivate trusted advisor status with C-level decision makers across global client organizations—bringing thought leadership, industry insights, and strategic perspective that extend beyond real estate delivery. + Act as a connector across accounts, facilitating shared insights, CBRE innovation, and best practices. + Support Alliance Directors in the development and execution of account strategies. + Represent CBRE externally, building visibility and relationships within the corporate real estate community, and reinforcing CBRE’s reputation as the partner of choice for technology clients. **Talent Management & Leadership** + Lead a team of Alliance Directors, empowering them to act as CEOs of their businesses and to drive results through autonomy, strategic thinking, and client obsession. + Foster a high-performance, people-first culture—developing future leaders, promoting internal mobility, and actively managing succession pipelines. + Serve as a champion of talent, placing top people in the right roles, identifying growth opportunities, and providing mentorship, coaching, and recognition. **Financial Management & Operational Excellence** + Own the consolidated P&L oversight across the assigned portfolio, ensuring delivery of best-in-class financial outcomes that align with client goals and CBRE expectations. + Hold Alliance Directors accountable for financial rigor, growth, and client value creation—while partnering with finance, sales, and operations leaders to drive results. + Proactively seek ways to optimize operating leverage, harness data, and position CBRE’s full platform to meet client needs creatively and profitably. **Required Qualifications** + 15+ years of experience in real estate, consulting, or business operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing client portfolios or global business units. + Proven track record of executive relationship management and influencing at the C-suite level within Fortune 500 organizations. + Demonstrated ability to develop and lead global teams, navigate matrixed organizations, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives. + Strong P&L acumen with experience managing or overseeing large, complex budgets. + Recognized talent magnet and people leader with a passion for growing high-performing teams. + Deep understanding of the corporate real estate landscape, particularly within the technology sector. + Global experience; must be comfortable supporting teams and clients with international scope. **Leadership Attributes** + Curious, strategic, and commercially minded + Action-oriented and unafraid of hard decisions + Comfortable in high-pressure, high-stakes environments + Clear communicator and influential presenter + Recognized industry leader and credible external voice Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sector Vice President position is $300,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sector Vice President position is $340,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program, as well as, potential to receive a long term incentive.
