Department Summary:
P825 Treasury and Finance Department supports the US Department of the Treasury, its Bureaus, and other key stakeholders in the financial system. MITRE supports building a strong and resilient economy, promoting a stable U.S. and global financial system, and enhancing the security and trust of U.S. currency and financial services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understand and apply system of systems (SoS) concepts to address enterprise-wide problems.Partner with sponsors and develop plans to coordinate, harmonize, and integrate the efforts of organizations and individuals.Coordinate the application of capabilities including strategic management, change management, process innovation, and transition implementation to achieve desired transformation outcomes for sponsors.Apply business innovation approaches to develop or enhance business models, products, or services that meet changing mission needs.Apply process improvement approaches to identify and address gaps that sponsors must address to reach desired outcomes.Partner with sponsors to identify and map current and future state capabilities, processes, and functions of an organization informed by that organization’s strategy, people, and technology.Apply program and project management disciplines internally after project and/or contract acquisition is completed such as decision support, contract monitoring, and risk management; project planning, analysis, monitoring, and control; risk management, quality management, and configuration management; and facilitate the development of artifacts such as charter, governance, communication and procurement plan, human resource management, and schedule.Plan, review, and execute activities concerned with the full life cycle of quality and quality assurance engineering, including development, testing, application, review, evaluation, and maintenance of quality standards.Develop and implement quality standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Master's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., systems engineering, quality engineering) is preferredExperience as a Project Lead, managing project teams, project deliverables, and project financials2+ years of experience working with Quality Engineering, Quality Standards, or Quality Management in a manufacturing environment.Experience developing quality standards and control plans.Ability to travel within CONUS for up to two weeks at a time and 4 trips per year.Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Suitability is required.This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a MITRE Project LeadPrior experience working with banknote printing operationsPrior experience working with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, especially the Office of Technology Development and/or the Office of Quality Engineering and ManagementExperience managing multiple projects and/or tasks concurrentlyThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
