Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join their team. As an Enterprise Architect, you will be part of the IT Strategy and Planning department supporting application modernization and enterprise architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Enterprise Architect - active Public Trust required
**Location: Washington, District of Columbia (Remote)**
**What's the Job?**
+ Drive Application Portfolio Optimization by documenting application characteristics, relationships, and business alignments.
+ Oversee application rationalization initiatives based on data analysis and risk assessments.
+ Collaborate with the DOE Chief Architect to maintain and update the Enterprise Architecture strategy, roadmap, and plans.
+ Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for EA tools, including Alfabet, ensuring effective utilization.
+ Organize and chair working groups related to Enterprise Architecture to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
**What's Needed?**
+ Experience in Application Portfolio Optimization (APO) and Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP).
+ Proficiency with EA tools such as Alfabet or similar platforms.
+ Strong analytical skills to perform risk assessments and data-driven recommendations.
+ Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage working groups and initiatives.
+ Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
