The Engineering Technician plays a critical role in building, assembling, and testing complex mechanical and electrical systems within a cleanroom environment. You will support engineering teams with prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting,
and process improvements while contributing to pilot and volume-manufacturing readiness.

Shift Details
Compressed Work Week (CWW) – D2 ShiftThursday, Friday, Saturday + every other Wednesday - 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12‑hour shift)Each shift is paid as:8 Regular Hours + 4 Overtime Hours (minus lunch)Mandatory daily overtime is built inInitial training on 1st or 2nd shift for 4–6 weeks before moving to CWW D2Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & AssemblyAssemble and test advanced mechanical/electrical systems in a cleanroom.Follow detailed procedures and manufacturing instructions.Troubleshoot issues from assembly through final testing.Serve as a resource for technical questions and best practices.Quality & Continuous ImprovementBuild products to exact specifications and report recurring issues.Support lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.Engineering SupportExecute engineering test plans, prototype builds, and system validations.Contribute to pilot builds for new products and transition to volume manufacturing.Update and refine documentation, processes, and technical records.Technical Knowledge & CollaborationUnderstand module‑level and system‑level interactions.Share expertise with team members and cross-functional partners.Coordinate daily activities in alignment with production priorities.Required Skills & ExperienceAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagramsMechanical and electrical assembly proficiencyTesting, troubleshooting, and prototype build experienceFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, VSM)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSkilled with hand tools, electronic components, and test equipmentCompetent with computers, documentation, and digital work instructionsPreferred QualificationsAS or BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field(Degree not required — hands-on manufacturing/technical experience is accepted!)Internship, co‑op, or prior manufacturing experienceLean manufacturing trainingWork EnvironmentCleanroom manufacturing settingCollaborative, engineering-driven cultureHigh-tech semiconductor systemsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
