This role involves providing product design support for standard or custom power units. The engineering technician will work closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to perform prototyping, troubleshooting, and validation activities. In addition, the technician will assist design engineers in prototyping new product designs, whether they are completely new designs or subassemblies. Responsibilities may also include assisting in regulatory agency testing or preparation, prototyping concepts using available materials, debugging production problems, and creating manufacturing instructions.
Responsibilities
+ Provide product design support for standard or custom power units.
+ Work under the direction of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
+ Assist in prototyping new product designs and subassemblies.
+ Participate in regulatory agency testing or preparation such as UL, CSA, TUV.
+ Prototype concepts using available materials.
+ Assist in debugging production problems.
+ Create manufacturing instructions.
Essential Skills
+ 5 plus years of experience with power or electromechanical products.
+ Experience in testing and troubleshooting.
+ Electrical wiring experience.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency in MS-Office desktop solutions, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Two-year degree.
+ Experience with low and medium voltage power systems.
Work Environment
The position is located in a newly renovated, very large manufacturing facility, providing an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing team and company. The work environment is hands-on, with responsibilities centered around testing and troubleshooting new products, specifically load banks. The facility supports a growing demand driven by the increase in data centers, and the company has experienced significant growth, expanding by 76% in 2024.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley View, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
