Engineering Technician
Hiring for an Electronics Technician in Stratford!

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support the fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems within a Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) environment. This role is highly hands‑on and requires strong expertise in constructing and routing aircraft wiring harnesses, interpreting engineering documentation, and performing mechanical integration tasks within large electronic rack assemblies.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, route, and install aircraft wiring harnesses based on electrical schematics and engineering drawings.Construct wiring harnesses and terminate connections to rear disconnect panels and other system interfaces.Install, mount, and secure components within large electronics racks and test environments.Build wire harnesses, test boxes, breakout boxes, and associated laboratory test equipment.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.Perform system checks, adjustments, modifications, and component replacements as required or directed.Work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and written or verbal instructions with limited supervision.Support system integration efforts for advanced aerospace and defense test programs.

Basic Qualifications

Strong electrical and electronic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Hands-on experience with electrical and electronic fabrication.Previous experience in a laboratory, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.Mechanical aptitude with general fabrication skills.Prior experience fabricating and terminating military‑grade wiring harnesses and connectors.

Additional Skills & Requirements

Ability to work overtime (average 10 hours/week).4/10 schedule (four 10‑hour days).Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.Ability to stand for extended periods and work with tools, test equipment, and aircraft components.

Work Environment

Primarily located in manufacturing facilities, hangars, laboratories, or production floors.Tasks may involve aircraft assembly, electrical/avionics installation, structures, composites, or general maintenance.Hands-on mechanical work around aircraft and machinery, requiring use of tools, diagnostic systems, and PPE.Clean, organized, and safety-driven environment with strict adherence to FAA and military compliance standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stratford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
