Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Build prototype cable assemblies, review assembly steps, and suggest improvements when needed.
+ Inspect and process returned assemblies, confirm reported issues, and work with Engineering and Quality to solve problems.
+ Support manufacturing teams with product performance and testing concerns.
+ Follow work orders, process instructions, production drawings, and verbal direction.
+ Help create or update assembly and test instructions.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to report and resolve technical or assembly issues.
+ Repair damaged or non‑functioning cable assemblies.
+ Train or retrain operators on assembly and soldering techniques.
+ Troubleshoot product failures.
+ Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to develop tools, fixtures, and equipment that improve quality and efficiency.
+ Understand facility layout and assist with equipment installation.
+ Perform additional manufacturing tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
+ J‑STD‑001 Solder Trainer Certification.
+ Strong commitment to completing projects despite challenges.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Hands‑on, self‑motivated, and positive work ethic.
+ Mechanical aptitude with solid understanding of electrical concepts.
+ Ability to read and interpret safety rules, assembly instructions, operating guides, and procedure manuals.
+ Strong verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to travel up to ~10%.
+ Proficiency with standard PC tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
