Engineering Technician
Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will build and test complex mechanical and electrical systems in a cleanroom environment. You will also support process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements.

ResponsibilitiesProduce products in accordance with established specifications.Observe and report ongoing problems in product construction or operation and support their resolution.Contribute to product and process improvements.Manufacture and deliver high-level complex systems following established procedures.Solve technical problems and oversee the process from assembly to testing.Actively contribute to pilot production and the transition to volume production.Develop and improve TPD, processes, and records.Investigate the impact of new procedures on the production process and suggest improvements.Acquire and pass on knowledge of products, processes, and systems.Support teamwork and search for solutions and ideas.Coordinate activities outlined in the production plan and monitor tool and material usage.Essential SkillsProficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills.Experience in lean manufacturing and engineering.Knowledge of process improvement, testing, and prototype development.Proficient with hand tools and electronics.Ability to perform testing and troubleshooting in a cleanroom environment.Strong analytical skills.Competency with schematic understanding and test equipment.Proficient computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAS or BS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical, or equivalent experience preferred.Manufacturing internship or co-op experience.Lean Manufacturing training (e.g., Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM) preferred.Strong mechanical skills.Willingness to consider candidates with manufacturing or technical experience.Work Environment

This position is on the 3rd shift, from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with a 15% shift differential. The work is conducted in a cleanroom environment. Training will likely occur on the 1st or 2nd shift for 4-6 weeks before transitioning to the 3rd shift. Enjoy benefits such as vacation time, holidays, and billable sick time in Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.60 - $27.60/hr.
