Our client, a leader in motion control technology, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the engineering team supporting New Product Development and Customer Applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Engineering Technician **Location:** Canton, MA (Some travel to the Peabody facility is expected) **Pay Range:** $38-$40 an hour depending on experience **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm *****NOTE:** This is a temporary assignment for 3 months **What's the Job?** + Support the Engineering, New Product Development and Customer Applications teams by designing, documenting, and building custom test set-ups. + Assemble, test, and help debug prototype units. + Establish and maintain clean and organized laboratory workspaces. + Manage an inventory of laboratory supplies and place purchase requisitions as necessary to replenish stock. + Work effectively in a small team environment with some/limited supervision. **What's Needed?** + Associates Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent. + Ability to understand and work from schematics, wire run lists, mechanical drawings, and bills of material. + Two or more years of hands-on experience building and repairing test fixtures and cables in an engineering development environment. + Working proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and bench electronics assembly tools including soldering irons. + Familiarity with schematic capture software such as OrCad or Allegro is a plus. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work with innovative motor drive technologies. + Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic engineering environment. + Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to exciting projects. + Develop your skills in a supportive team setting. + Potential for overtime to meet project needs. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
