Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Engineering Technician (Level 4) to support on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. This position in on site at our Rocket Center, WV location. No remote opportunities available for this position.
Overview:
The Engineering Technician will work in the exciting and challenging world of tactical propulsion. Responsibilities center on the use of various technical skills to assist propulsion engineers in the manufacturing of demonstration and development motors.
Specific responsibilities include:
Support project objectives by performing fabrication and test activities with the support, guidance and direction of propulsion engineers and leadership.Assist with design for manufacturing activities by making thoughtful and valuable suggestions and recommendations for improvements.Operate engineering prototyping equipment including but not limited to heated platen press, cure ovens, vertical & horizontal band saws, and small hand toolsFollow material & process procedures developed by propulsion engineersAbility to use scales and calculate material weights and ratiosDocument process steps on development projectsBasic Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 6 years’ experience in a technical fieldU.S. citizenship

Leadership & teamwork capabilitiesExcellent interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environmentAble to work in an autonomous work environment on complex projectsPerform hand layup operations using various materialsExperience using an autoclave and making vacuum bagsPrimary Level Salary Range: $66,300.00 - $110,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
