Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for an Engineering Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Operations Engineering organization. This position is fulltime onsite and is located at the Rancho Carmel campus in San Diego and will also support our Spectrum campus in San Diego if Secure Processing and Networking (SPAN) as needed.
The ideal candidate will be required to perform the following tasks:
· Interpret detailed drawings for troubleshooting and failure diagnosis.
· Assemble, and install mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic components or assemblies.
· Set up and conduct prototype unit and subsystem tests under operational conditions.
· Analyze test data, identify issues, and recommend modifications.
· Support critical flight hardware integration with high attention to detail and safety.
· Organize and maintain Test Stations for the F-22 Test Department
· Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
· Assist in the calibration test equipment process
· Travel - This position could require up to 5% travel domestically.
Basic Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
