The Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation and Test group team is hiring an Engineering Technician – Level 3/4 at our Chandler, AZ location.

This role will work directly with engineers, managers, and technicians from Mechanical and Energetics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test, and Quality. 

Essential Functions:

Conduct vibration testing on various parts and subsystems on electrodynamic shaker tablesPerform hands on test setup and instrumentation - mounting unit on/off shaker table and installing accelerometersProvide both formal and informal status communications to direct manager, as well as other leads and managers in other groups and departments as requiredPerform table top reviewsPost process test data, and provide input to test reportsSupport test equipment maintenance, and maintain a clean/organized work environmentWork in close collaboration with other technicians and engineers

Basic Qualifications Engineering Technician – Level 3:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experienceAbility to obtain a US DoD Secret Security clearanceExperience with hand toolsAble to work on-site (not remote)Strong verbal and written communication skills strong communicator, and ownership of tasks and problems

Basic Qualifications Engineering Technician – Level 4:

High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experienceAbility to obtain a US DoD Secret Security clearanceExperience with hand toolsAble to work on-site (not remote)Strong verbal and written communication skills strong communicator, and ownership of tasks and problems

Preferred Qualifications:

Active US DoD Secret Security clearance, or higher at the time of applicationExperience with environmental and/or vibration testingExperience with instrumentation and data logging equipmentExperience in an aerospace environmentExperience with pneumatic and/or ordnance testingExperience using Siemens NX to design parts and assembliesExperience using Teamcenter

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
