Location: Whilst you will be predominately based at our Northfleet Mill, you will spend your 1st year with IPS Training located in Rochester.

As a member of the Northfleet Mill Reliability Workshop Team, you will have a exposure to a wide range of engineering technology, from heavy industrial machines in the Papermill through to the latest robotic technology in our Packaging assets.

You will be involved in the following:

Scheduled maintenance tasks across all areas of the site including:Steam GenerationWater Treatment SystemsPaper Manufacturing EquipmentConverting EquipmentPackagingRobot PalletisingProduct Distribution

Manufacturing components and parts, using workshop equipment to include:LathesMilling MachinesPillar DrillsGrindersFabrication and welding

Electrical and Instrumentation, work to include:InstallationFault Finding, Diagnosis and repairPreventative MaintenanceCalibrationImprovement Project Work, from design to deliveryThermographic Surveys

Mechanical work to include:Bench fittingPump, gearbox, valve repairsFault Finding, Diagnosis and repairPreventative Maintenance

 

Your training & qualifications you will receiveLevel 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Diploma (BTEC Pearson)Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (EAL)Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Standard (Apprenticeship Certificate)HNC in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering What you’ll bring:Accountable, punctual, and reliableTeam-oriented with initiativeEnthusiastic about the apprenticeshipTechnically skilled and detail-focusedSafety-aware and quality-drivenCommitted to Kimberly-Clark’s Code of Conduct and Equality & Diversity policies Entry requirementsMinimum 4 GCSEs (9–5/A*–C) including English, Mathematics, Science and Design Technology

Complete the apprenticeship and you could progress to a higher-level apprenticeship, degree and full-time employment. You’ll build interchangeable skills and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing whilst opening doors to Technician or Engineer roles.
